Cookie policy

xeye.es uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The website and the console only store in your browser the technical data they need to work (your session, the language, the colour theme and, for the duration of the visit, which link brought you here). That kind of storage is exempt from consent, so you will not see a banner.

What are cookies and local storage?

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Local storage (localStorage) is a similar mechanism that does not travel with every request. Spanish law (article 22.2 of the LSSI) treats both the same way: they need your consent unless they are strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for.

What does XEYE store in your browser?

NamePurposeTypeDuration
xeye_token, xeye_token_expires_atKeep your console session open after you sign in.Technical, first party (local storage)Until the session expires or you sign out
xeye_userShow your name and email in the console without asking again.Technical, first party (local storage)Until you sign out
xeye_localeRemember the language you chose.Technical, first party (local storage)Until you clear it
xeye_themeRemember whether you prefer the light or the dark theme.Technical, first party (local storage)Until you clear it
xeye_attributionRemember, for the duration of the visit, which link brought you to xeye.es (the utm_* parameters of the URL, the click id if you came from an ad and the domain of the site that linked you) so we know which channels bring sign-ups. It is only used if you register; it holds no data about you and is shared with nobody.Technical, first party (session storage)Until you close the tab
Everything xeye.es stores in the browser. None of it is shared with third parties or used to identify you outside the service.

The public pages (home, documentation, guides and these legal pages) store nothing except the language and the theme if you change them and, for the duration of the visit, where you came from (xeye_attribution).

Third-party cookies that may appear

  • Cloudflare, which serves the website and protects it from automated attacks, may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example __cf_bm or cf_clearance) while it checks whether a request is legitimate. They do not identify the person and are not used for any other purpose. More in the Cloudflare cookie policy.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile, the check against automated sign-ups that may appear on the registration form, works without tracking cookies.
  • Stripe, once online payments are enabled: the payment page opens on the Stripe domain and is governed by its own cookie policy. xeye.es embeds no Stripe scripts.

Analytics

Visits to xeye.es are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a script that counts page views and load times without cookies, browser fingerprinting or personal identifiers, so it needs no consent (how it works). There are no heat maps and no social media or advertising pixels: campaigns are measured with the origin remembered by xeye_attribution, not with third-party cookies.

How to delete or block this storage

From your browser settings you can view, delete or block the cookies and local storage of xeye.es. Bear in mind that without them the console cannot keep your session open: you will have to sign in on every visit. The public pages work the same either way.

Changes and contact

If XEYE starts using cookies that require consent, this page will be updated and consent will be requested before they are set. For any question, write to info@xeye.es. How your personal data is processed is explained in the privacy policy.
