How much does each operation cost?
| Operation | Price | When it is charged |
|---|---|---|
| Search through the API | €0.001 | For each search the API serves with your key. |
| Search in the console playground | Free | Never: it spends no credit. |
| Training a list | €0.30 | When you launch it, whatever the size of the list. |
| AI-generated description | €0.0053 per element | Only for elements that are new or changed since the last training. |
| Lists, elements and API keys | Free | Creating, editing and importing costs nothing. |
One thousand API searches cost €1. Prices are in euros and include applicable taxes.
How much does it cost to train my catalogue?
It depends on how many elements need an AI-generated description. The first training generates them for every element; later ones only for what has changed. If you turn AI descriptions off for a list, each training costs just the fixed price.
| List size | With AI descriptions | Without AI descriptions |
|---|---|---|
| 100 elements | €0.83 | €0.30 |
| 500 elements | €2.95 | €0.30 |
| 1,000 elements | €5.60 | €0.30 |
| 5,000 elements | €26.80 | €0.30 |
AI descriptions improve results measurably, above all for synonym and intent searches. The data is in measured results.
What can I do with the €5 welcome credit?
For example, train a list of 500 elements with AI descriptions (€2.95) and serve 2,050 searches through the API. Or train a list without AI and serve 4,700 searches. You do not need a card to create the account.
How is a training charged?
- Before launching you see the estimated price in the console.
- On launch that amount is reserved from your credit. If the balance is not enough, the training does not launch.
- On completion it is adjusted to the final price and the unspent part is refunded.
- If it fails, the reserved amount goes back to your balance in full.
What happens if I run out of credit?
The search API answers with status 402 and the error CREDIT_EXHAUSTED until you have more balance, and trainings cannot be launched. Your lists, elements and keys are not deleted, and the console playground keeps working.
So it does not catch you by surprise you can create balance alerts: you choose a threshold and get an email when your credit drops to it.
How do I get more credit?
XEYE is at an early stage and does not charge right now. If you need more credit, you request it from the Credit page of the console saying what you will use it for, and we review it by hand. You get the answer by email.
The rates on this page show how much credit each operation spends. If online payments are enabled, this page will be updated first.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a monthly fee or lock-in?
- No. Credit is only spent when you launch a training or when the API serves a search.
Do test searches spend credit?
- No. Searches you run from the console playground are free. Only searches that reach the public API with an API key spend credit.
Can I avoid the cost of AI descriptions?
- Yes. Each list has a switch to turn them off. With it off, a training costs just the fixed price and your texts are not sent to any language model.
Is there a rate limit?
- Yes: 120 searches per minute per account, shared by all your API keys. Above it, the API answers
429with theRetry-Afterheader. How much does it cost to retrain a list?
- The fixed price of €0.30 plus €0.0053 for each element that is new or whose text or description has changed. Elements that do not change reuse their description and are not paid for again.
